Felix Cabrera

I went to see Felix Cabrera the other night at the turning point. Felix puts on a great show. His music is a mixture of Latin Jazz and Chicago style Blues. His band provides a high-energy background to some nice harp playing. I believe that all blues bands should have a conga player.
Here are some pictures I snapped.
Felix played through a Gibson T-25R with a Shure SM-58. He decided not to mic the amp and I found this rig made his tone a little washed out and anemic for my taste. A rig with some balls would have helped him out alot. He should drop the sm-58 and try a green bullet. I think the bullet would give him the tonal range he is looking for without the dirty sound of the JT-30.
