The Bayou Restaurant's KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT '05

Many of you have asked, and although it is still in it's planning stage. We are happy to announce that The Bayou Restaurant will be hosting concerts in efforts to raise money to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, The Bayou, along with Habitat for Humanity, The City of Mount Vernon, Oak Beverages, and others, will be hosting concerts from noon to 7pm out in front of The Bayou Restaurant on Gramatan Avenue.

We will be charging a $10 suggested donation to enter the concert area, with all monies going directly to Habitat for Humanity.

We need your help!!! If any of you or your businesses could help by donating gifts to raffle off or auction, that would be wonderful. If you know a clown or face painter that would donate their time, that would be wonderful. If you could forward this message to all your family and friends, that too would be wonderful. If you can pass out flyers, again, wonderful!!! Please e mail us with any help or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

We are still working on the line ups, so we will be keeping you informed on what's to come. So far, it's off to a great start, everyone we come in contact with has been stepping up to the plate so to speak. So, spread the word, we can make a world of difference in many peoples lives.
