My personal Favorites:

Jon Gindick was the entry point for most of the harp players I have met. This book and tape get you up and running fast. My only complaint is that he does this without much bending so you will have to grow out of a decidedly country twang to your playing.

David Harp has to be the most patient man on earth. His tapes are very easy - very slow and very good. I heard his tapes described as "Harp taught by Barney", but these tapes work.
