The best thing about it is you can replace the word "harmonica/harp" with the name of any other instrument, including voice (other than the truly harp-sepcific stuff, that is). What you're really talking about here is musicianship. All of these things you've mentioned are about making you a better musician, not just a better harp player. Make your music and intrinsic part of you, and don't overthink it. The more you "live" your music and not just "play" it, the better you will be and the more enjoyment you will get from it. Even if you're not the best player on the stage, if you're surrounded with good musicians, it's more fun than just about anything.
