Harp Microphone PornMonday, June 16th, 2008
I found these YouTube vids of customized harp mics. I may not be able exactly define pornography, but I know it when I see it.

Lightweight MicrophonesTuesday, June 10th, 2008Chris Reynolds is making a plastic mic shell based on the Shure 520 bullet. It weighs just 5.4 ounces. This is a good idea and I think I might order one. This is something I wanted to do for the Brown Biscuit. I like the smaller form factor of the biscuit. It is smaller and easier to cup, and I think would be a great addition to Chris’s line. I am a little concerned that Chris might get in trouble with Shure from cloning a mic that is still in production. The original patent, though, expired many years ago, so he is probably in the clear. How to Practice HarpFriday, June 6th, 2008I talk to lots of harp players. I like to ask about how they learned to play harp. Everyone does it differently, but some approaches work better than others. I’ve taken some of these ideas and made a list things that might help you practice or make your practicing more effective. I left one out, though: Rule 1 – You have to practice. I guess some harp players don’t think that they ever have to practice, but then, we can tell who they are. Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments » |

History of this page.
In the dawn of the World Wide Web (1994), Keith Graham created the JT30 page. It started out as a home page for modifying JT30 microphones. Eventually the page became a catchall for microphones and amplified harmonica playing. You can see these pages at: The Original JT30 Page
Now I have three pages for harp mics, harp tab and harp amps. I'm going to start another one just for learning harp.
