Each year during the first full weekend of August this sleepy mountain hamlet is transformed into the harmonica capital of the western world. Entering its 18th year in 2007 (August 3-5), the Yellow Pine Harmonica Contest (honoring prospecting pioneers and their pocket harps) has grown into one of the world’s largest (and most fun!) harmonica events.

Naiant has announced a neat little harp mic. This is a low impedance mic for hooking directly into the PA system. They say that it has the tube amp sound built into it. I’d like to taste test it and see if they are right.
